The first thing I think of when I think of the Middle East is deserts. Along with deserts I think of camels and sand dunes. I also associate the Middle East with oil because it is a major export. Finally, I define the Middle East with affiliate the Middle East rebellion and fights for freedom and democracy because of the recent Arab Spring movement.
